Call for entries - MAPPING FESTIVAL 2010

The 6th edition of the Mapping Festival is coming and the artistic call for entries too!

From May 6th through the 16th 2010, the Mapping Festival will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, in differents venues: Bâtiment d’art contemporain, Théâtre du Grütli, Théâtre de la Parfumerie, Zoo & Spoutnik / Usine and Uptown Geneva.

You have many ideas and projects, the artistic call for entries is now open, so we are counting on you to be there and spice up the Mapping Festival menu!

This year again, the festival will promote the mix of disciplines, and you will be able to apply for the following categories:
• VJing
• Audiovisual set
• Installation
• Outdoor projection
• Lecture / Workshop / Presentation / Demo

This year, the application is on line on our web site: www.mappingfestival.com
Beware, the delays to apply are short: you can apply until January 4th 2010.

VISUALISATION-FESTIVAL

Vom 18. bis 20. Dezember findet in Neuhaus am Rennweg das „Visualisation-Festival“ statt.

LJs (Lightjockeys), VJs (Visualjockeys) sowie dem interessierten Publikum wird die Möglichkeit gegeben, sich in gemeinschaftlicher Runde zu treffen, Kontakte zu knüpfen, Inspirationen zu holen und Informationen über neue technische Innovationen zu erhalten.

18:30 "BASICS", "INTERAKTION" - REPLY2ALL
Für Neulinge und Einsteiger bietet das VJ-Team „reply2all“ der Technischen Universität Ilmenau und der Forschungsgemeinschaft elektronische Medien e.V. den passenden Workshop an.

19:30 "MXWENDLER" - HENDRIK WENDLER
Hendrik Wendler wird seine Software MXWendler in Verbindung mit Multi- bzw. Panoramaprojektionen vorstellen. Hendrik Wendler ist wissenschaftlich Mitarbeiter an der Fakultät Medien der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.

21:30 "PROCESSING" - ERIK SCHNEIDER-BEWEGTBILDBAU
Processing ist eine auf Java basierende Programmiersprache, welche speziell für den Einsatz von Video, Grafik, Typographie, 3D und Animation ausgelegt ist. Einen Einblick in diese Materie wird „Bewegtbildbau“ alias. Erik Schneider aus Braunschweig geben.

00:30 "MAPPING", "WIIMOTE" - YOCHANAN RAUERT (7DEX)
Methoden und Möglichkeiten der Bildmanipulation und Steuerung per "Mapping" und "WiiMote" wird Yochanan Rauert, auch bekannt als Yochee von 7dex aus Münster, vorstellen und diskutieren.

Samstag - 19.12.2009 - Workshops/Vorträge

12:00 "DER PERFEKTE LOOP..." - NORBERT SCHODER (SCHALLBILD) Das VJ-Kollektiv „Schallbild“ mit Norbert Schoder aus Fürth wird mit dem Kurs „Auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Loop“ Anregungen geben bei der Erstellung von Quellmaterial, dem so genannten Content bzw. Footage.

15:00 "THRILL", "VMS VIDEO MOVING SYSTEM" - MICHAEL PARENTI (ARTIFICIALEYES) Der gebürtige Kalifornier wird neben dem 3D-Programm „Thrill“ auch das VMS (VideoMovingSystem) aus Wien vorstellen.

17:00 "VSXU" - JONATAN WALLMANDER, ROBERT WENZEL
Als weiterer internationaler Gast wird Jonatan Wallmander aus Schweden erwartet. Er wird zusammen mit Robert Wenzel seine Software zur echtzeit Visualisierung „VSXu“ vorstellen.
